Guys. Today’s blog post is HUGE.

Friends, I’ll never take for granted the reach I have with my blog, and how many lovelies I have that read my words.  In just a little over two short years, I’ve gained over 70,000 followers across all of my social media platforms. WOW!  Because I love y’all, I wanted to include you in a cause very dear to my heart. I want to give back. And I want us to do it together.

Most of you know that I’m currently working towards my Master’s degree in school counseling. Particularly, I have a passion working with adolescents. My passion lies within this age because I recall what it was like to be a teenager myself, and remember how difficult and trying those days could be at times. With my passion for counseling young adults and my passion for fashion, I decided to join my two passions together for my first big philanthropic cause with Inspiration Indulgence.

I’m SO SO SO SOOOOOOO excited to announce that my friend Kym, a pharmacy grad student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I have joined forces to organize a holiday clothing donation drive for young women in need, and I could not be more excited to share this cause with you. We have collaborated with the House of Hope, a shelter in Green Bay, Wisconsin that serves 18-24 year old homeless, pregnant, and parenting women (and their children.)

With your help, we’d love for you to join in our donation drive to donate gently used or new fashionable items to these young moms.

Meet Kymmie!

Let’s face it, the holidays, and even after the holidays, are a rough time for us all. Now imagine if you didn’t have all of the support you needed. We take for granted the little things in life; the times when we can nonchalantly go on a shopping spree with our BFF. The times when we can buy that coat we’ve had our eye on for MONTHS. Our goal is to not just provide young moms with clothing items, but to instill their confidence by helping them to dress fashionable and trendy. Thus, we are looking for you to donate only fashionable, gently used or new items of fall/winter clothing to these women in need.

Here is what we are looking for you to send:
-Trendy, gently used fall and winter seasonal clothing items for young women (ages 18-24)
-Brand new items that you’re willing to purchase and send.

These include:
-Long sleeve shirts
-Scarves, hats, jewelry, other accessories, etc.

Here is what we are NOT looking for you to send:
-Old sweatpants and sweatshirts
-Used undergarment
-Clothes with rips and/or stains.
-Anything you basically would be embarrassed to wear!!

Because this is a fashion blog, my goal is to not just collect “junky” things to donate, but awesome, trendy things that our young women will be excited and proud to wear. Many of these young ladies take pride in their appearance, and we want them to take pride in how clothing makes them feel more confident!

We made room in our closest for these new outfits by donating our old clothes as well!

Our goal is to donate at least 500 separate items of clothing, which we believe is TOTALLY manageable…WITH YOUR HELP!!  So please…tell your friends! Tell your families! Tell your local boutique owners! Tell your best friend’s cousin’s boyfriend’s little sister! Tell EVERYONE!! We really want to make a difference this season, and I really want my first philanthropy project with Inspiration Indulgence to be a success.

For those of you who live in Green Bay, you can drop your items off at the House of Hope (address listed below). In addition, we have drop off boxes located at Bay Park Square Mall in the mall management office, and Apricot Lane Boutique.

For those who do NOT live near to Green Bay, WI, please send your items of clothing to

House of Hope Green Bay, Inc.
1660 Christiana Street
Green Bay, WI  54303

For those who DO live near Green Bay, you can drop off your items at the address listed above, or send, if you wish.

****IMPORTANT!!!! Please add a note with the written phrase #InspirationIndulgence so we can track the orders from my readers! Any person who:

1.) Sends an item of clothing OR
2.) Shares a selfie on social media wearing trendy clothing that you will donate tagging #InspirationIndulgence will receive a personal thank you note from me!***

We will be taking donations until January 31st.

Please friends, I urge you to help out with this cause! So often we think or say we are going to do generous things for others, but the ACTION never happens. So this time let’s MAKE IT HAPPEN! Get off your booties, grab 1-2 pieces of clothing from your fashionable wardrobes, package them up for mail (don’t forget the little note saying your heard about this on Inspiration Indulgence), and send them off!! I guarantee you will be making a difference for these young women AND besides, you need to make room for some of the new items you may have received for Christmas yourself anyways! 😉  Let’s put our trendy selves and our heart of gold to good use. I believe the Inspiration Indulgence community is SO capable and worthy of making a difference!! I already went through my closet. Now it’s your turn!! XOXO

(& Kym!)

Wow, this is such an amazing idea! If I lived closer, or in the same country, I would definitely be on board to help. I’m thinking of doing something similar next year with children’s clothes. I had some old baby winter jackets that were give to us that my daughter doesn’t fit into. Instead of packing them away for baby #2, I wanted to give them to someone who could use them right now. I scoured the internet but couldn’t find anyone or any place that would accept them! Thank you for the inspiration :)

    • Too bad you weren’t in the states! Appreciate your thoughtful comment!

  • Wow this is such a great idea! I’m moving soon and recently got rid of some clothes, but I already gave them away. Dang! But I’ll keep my eyes out and if I know anyone donating, I’ll send them your way!

    • Thanks so much for your support, Taylor!
