50 State Sign Challenge Pt. 4

Hi Friends,

I’m SO excited to share with you 50 State Sign Challenge: Part 4!!

Wait for it……

After our huge road trip out West, we were able to knock the last 6 states down, making our grand total 48. The only states we need now are Hawaii and Alaska!!

To get caught up with our 50 State Sign Challenge, read the first three parts:
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3

I had Trevor write this blip about how we went about getting these signs, since he is the navigator, and I am indeed direction-challenged. LOL.

I am still exhausted from our 6,333 mile trip, so I will keep this short. We decided to make this journey our last big road trip because we knew that getting these last 6 signs would be no easy feat. We started out our trip by getting on US-2 in Wisconsin and staying on that highway straight across Minnesota and North Dakota. We got the Montana sign on Highway 2 just west of the oil fields in North Dakota. We continued on US-2 all the way to Glacier National Park. We eventually made our way down to I-90, where we eventually got the Idaho sign. We had to cut into a construction sight off of the highway to snap a picture by this sign (Chelsea may have thrown a bit of a fit during our off-roading experience). After a short drive through northern Idaho, we came into Washington, and got off of the interstate to capture the Washington sign. After a few days in Washington, we traveled into Oregon for a night. We couldn’t get to the sign entering Oregon, as we were in a traffic jam and 4 lanes away from the sign. No big deal, we ended up getting it right across the road from the California sign on the famous 101 Coast Highway. After a few days in California, we spent a day driving through the desert, where we got sign #48 entering Nevada just west of Pahrump. It has been one hell of an experience traveling through all of the Lower 48…but this guy is tired and ready to spend some time close to home. America is a beautiful place, and I am so glad I was able to experience it with the love of my life.

You may notice in some of these photos that Trevor is pictured instead of me. For some odd reason, I have horrible luck with breaking phones while on vacation and losing all of my photos. There have been a few instances where I’ve lost my state selfie, and had to use Trevor’s state selfie instead. *****facepalm.*****

Anywho, we are soooooo close to be finished! 48 states already checked off the bucket list!!

  • Amazing!!!!! Only 2 left to go (have you figured out Hawaii yet?)

Is it weird that I’m looking at these pictures and thinking “woah, that sign is enormous!” like seriously some of those are gigantic!!

So, i have to ask, which of the continental state signs is your favourite?

    • We are just going to have to get Hawaii at the airport. And Alaska, haven’t figured out that one yet!!

Yes, some of them look so different! Like some of them are super nice, and some look super trashy. LOL.

I thought the Montana, Arizona, Wyoming and Utah signs were FABULOUS.

  • This is amazing! I’ve never taken a photo in front of a state sign, but now I want to!

    • Aw you should! It’s totally fun!!

  • Bethany Frazier RD
