Guys, I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited about a fashion post in my LIFE!!!!!
Last weekend, I partnered with my friends at Resolution Photography again for an outdoor shoot. We’ve collaborated in the past for this post on fun & flirty spring finds, but I was especially looking forward to working with them again because we were going to a beautiful location outdoors, Fonferek’s Glen located southeast of Green Bay. The gorgeous scenery was perfect for the vision I had for this gentle off-the-shoulder summer dress.
Before we get to the outfit details, I just want to make a note of how appreciative I am of CJ and Jilane at Resolution. I am not quite sure how two people who have only met me on 2-3 occasions can successfully showcase my adventurous spirit and my creative vision throughout their work, but I am in awe. I feel like these photos represent 100% who I am; my fun-loving spirit, my love of nature; my mindfulness & child-like innocence. And I am forever thankful for our collaboration. Y’all seriously need to check out their portraits- they are the most unique and creative photographers I have ever come across in my life.
Dress details // Obviously, the off-the-shoulder trend is so hot right now, and I love it because it’s free-spirited yet classy. The lace detail is elegant and fun, and felt extremely playful. I bought this at Charlotte Russe (are you surprised?!) and am thinking of wearing this again at our engagement session this summer (where I will get to meet with CJ and Jilane again! Yay!)
The necklace is a gold dream catcher courtesy of Tilly’s.
I brought cowboy boots for this shoot, but the truth is that this dress feels more like a barefoot kind of dress to me. As soon as I skipped across the stones to get to our location, it became clear to me that the barefoot fit with the vision more than the boots, but we did a few shots with the boots anyways.
I used to get so insecure with the fact that I don’t live in a big city and can’t get those gorgeous street shots for my blog but the truth is that locations like this encompass more of who I am as a person anyways. Beauty is everywhere. I especially loved this location because I’ve always had a fascination for waterfalls; I recall as a little girl going for hikes along waterfalls with my family and hopping on stones along the way. I am so thankful that I had such a loving childhood filled with nature and serenity outside. Such wonderful memories I’ll always treasure.
The best part about this shoot was playing near the waterfall at the end, and getting my feet wet- literally! The gorgeous rainbow colors of the canon makes this my favorite location and shoot yet for my blog. I love Wisconsin <3
Of course, we had to try a spinning pic, although it was some sort of a fail. 😛 Had to include it regardless!
